Earlier today, the folks at Tumblr launched a new feature called Ask.
Since Tumblr powers this blog I just turned it on.
So if you care to, you can ask me a question here.
Let’s see how this goes. Be nice :)
Update: for now i will probably answer one or two a day. This is an example of what it looks like. Here’s my friend Andy asking me a question.
Rafer sez:
It’ll be fascinating to see if the new Ask beats out Formspring or not. I’d say it’s dicey, in the same way the new Twitter internal retweet isn’t doing well against the original RT. I wonder if Tumblr tried to co-opt Formspring or not (as Twitter didn’t co-opt Tweetmeme for retweet).I’m coming to the opinion that the platforms should be more reluctant to (attempt to) undermine their largest developers. Vertical integration is inevitable, but even the strongest young leaders need really good friends.
But I did turn Ask on to check it out, of course.

Sawickipedia says: @Rafer you’re just coming around to the fact that platforms should be reluctant to undermine their developers? really? Seems a given.
