Seriously the last thing we want to do in this country built upon the idea of free and open discussion and sharing of ideas is the censorship of ideas. CBS already runs political ads up and down its network and affiliates, this doesn’t strike me as much different. Also with regards to the Phillipines, what the law says is one thing, what is effectively available is another. Abortions might be common there or might not. I just loathe the idea of political censorship. As Voltairee once opined, “”I do not agree with a word you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” |
